We have planted a great variety of trees an bushes on the farm and are always looking to try more species.
English wall nut
Seaberry (fruit, wind block and nitrogen)
Black Locust (wind block and nitrogen)
Strawberry (a few plants testing areas)
Siberian Pea Shrub (nitrogen)
Honey Locust (nitrogen)
Daffodil (pest deterrent)
Comfrey (mineral accumulator)
Below is a pinion pine seedling we planted along the northern wind break in 2014. Some have died and others are thriving. They have not been irrigated but 2014 has been a very good year for rain fall.

Hi, I am a huge permaculture fan. I have several books and have constructed a few hugel beds and been messing around with many types of seed. Really just trying to find my green thumb considering I never had the privilege of growing up with a garden. I was very excited to find out about this project and also considering the location. I would love to come check it out sometime if you guys were to give any tours
